How to hide files in the Android smart phone

Without using any third party apps 

In this tutorial I am going to explain you how to hide any file without using any 3rd party application in phone.

this is not actual hiding it shows the file but the file could not opened.

Requirements:

Just Android os 4.0 or higher (I don't know that this will work on lower versions or not) 

step1:
         here I'm using the file demo.MP4 file I want to hide this file. so open the file location.
step2:
        select the file and click on rename.

step3:
        after the name of the file you will see the extension of that file it species the type of the file. so change it to the extension which is not understandable to the Android operating system. here I am using .lkg extension because it is not understandable to the Android OS.

step4:
       save the changes and you can see the file is now unknown to the so.

For going back follow the same procedure and while renaming the file extension give it's original extension and it will be back in the previous state.
